I’m SO excited about this new printable! I created this Clean Slate Letter Cards Printable for my 4.5-year-old to get familiar with how to write and recognize the letters of the alphabet.
When I was looking around for printables for her I was a little disappointed. So many things created for children are cartoonish and have harsh colours.
We follow an eclectic and open style of homeschooling, but if I had to list all of the things I pull from it would go something like this…
What We Use
- Charlotte Mason
- The Good And The Beautiful
- Donna Ward
- Khan Academy
- Other things I pull from online.
- Things I create!
What many of these philosophies have in common is that they favor real images and content for children that has substance and value. These are values we seek out when looking for homeschooling materials.
So when I created this Clean Slate Letter Cards Printable I wanted the images to be real to life and have beautiful colours. I also wanted them to be used time and time again by many children. Since we have 3 children currently, I know the value of purchasing items that will last for more than one child.
I chose to print mine onto card stock and laminate them with my laminator. Then you can have your child practice writing using a dry erase marker and wipe it clean when they’re finished!
I used a hand-held hole punch to punch a hole in each card so that I could store them on this binder ring. That way I don’t have to keep track of all of the cards and they don’t end up all over the floor!
For part of the homeschool year, I plan to hang these from a line with a few clips or clothespins since they’re SO PRETTY! You could use them to decorate your homeschool area or even use them in a nursery!
